He said it best regarding Fort Hood
General Honore, (who also escorted me during my husband's funeral in Atlanta, November 12, 2004) said to CNN on the day of the shooting
"It's almost like a kick in the gut...Our military posts are our sanctuary ...for us (troops) and our families. ..When this happens, it breaks that sacred trust."
He said it best.
We will pull through, as a whole we will work on and improve mental health care and support of mental health care in our community as the years continue on.
For our community I am sure I speak for all by saying we are simply Heartbroken :-(
