So close to the Spanish Steps, yet a world away, the Keats-Shelley House in Rome houses a fantastic library of Romantic poetry. But the most stunning aspect of the library is the stark difference between the crowds of tourists on the steps outside of the tall windows and the quiet solitude of the library and rooms where John Keats spent his final months. It is a quiet literary haven tucked away from the bustle of one of the world's most beautiful cities.
