Your favorite libraries
Misgav Community Library.
The Misgav Community Library is nestled deep in the Galillee Mountains of Northern Israel. It serves 36 small rural communities in addition to the 1,800 pupils of the high school in which it is situated. The library is a hub of activity during school hours and in the early evening for readers of all ages. The large non-fiction section of the library attracts university students. There are many English speakers in the area, therefore there is a wide range of books in English. A selection of the newest Hebrew books arrives every two weeks from our book supplier, sometimes even before they are in the stores. There are afternoon theater productions for children, and guest speakers in the evening, including internationally known authors such as Amos Oz.. Naomi Regen and Meir Shalev will be speaking at the library during the upcoming Israel Book Month.
A branch in a nearby Beduin community with books in Arabic was just recently opened, much to the delight of the residents.
