    Italian-Americans Share Love of Music

     
    During the fourth annual Italian-American Celebration for Neighborhoods of the World, the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans and the Italian Cultural Institute presented the Peppe Voltarelli Trio to Celebrate Italy on Sunday afternoon, April 6,2014. The Peppe Voltarelli Trio was presented by Andrea Raos, the Director at the Italian Cultural Institute, 500 North Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Illinois USA.  Peppe Voltarelli is a native Italian musical performer from Calabria, Italy who is visiting Chicago for the first time. The Peppe Voltarelli Trio bass guitar player and the drums musician are both from Tuscany, Italy.  Learn Italian at ItalCultura, the official language center at the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago, an Italian Government Cultural Agency.  Founded in 1985 by Silvio Marchetti and currently directed by him, the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago is one of five cultural offices of the Italian Government in the United States, part of a network of 90 Institutes worldwide. The Institute focuses on Italy’s classic and contemporary heritage (art, music, literature, dance, cinema, design, architecture, science, technology).  At ItalCultura, all language courses are taught by native-speaking, highly-qualified teachers and are based on the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
