Hyundai Equus is 10 Best Interiors winner

Ward’s Auto announced their 2014 10 Best Interiors winners today, with vehicles ranging all the way from $24,000 to $372,000. Ward’s annually ranks car interiors on vehicles that have recently undergone significant changes. Criteria include ergonomics, driver info, fit and finish, materials, safety, value, comfort and design.

Hyundai made it onto the list this year with their flagship model, the Equus Ultimate. The staff at Ward’s was impressed with the value the Equus provides at its price point. The experience was described as ‘limousine-like’ and that it rivals cars priced well over $100,000.

Second row seats are roomy, and with the push of a button they recline and begin to massage you. The dash includes two high-resolution LCD displays to convey any information you may need. The materials are high quality and show that Hyundai is serious when it comes to luxurious interiors. BMW and Mercedes-Benz should keep an eye open.

The staff was also impressed with the new Hyundai Genesis interior, though it did not make it on the list this year. If you want to take a seat in the luxurious Hyundai Equus interior and are in the Portland, Maine area, head over to And to view the rest of the results from the 10 Best Interiors awards, check out
