This iReport is part of an assignment:
Salute to troops
I am a proud Veteran who proudly served my country for 8 years (92' - 00'). In 2010 I got a call from an old comrade of mine to meet his military coworker, stationed in Grand Prairie, TX. I fell in love with him instantly, and three years later on 6/23/13 - I married him!
Today, I salute my husband, SFC Darlenzo R. Hines, US ARMY Recruiter, who will be retiring next year! He has served in the Marines (13 years) and now will be finishing his career as an Army soldier. He has devoted himself to this great nation of ours for two decades, and now we are looking forward to a new journey in life, but always knowing that we are forever soldiers in our hearts.
I married one hell of a man and he has one hell of a woman by his side for life! I'm proud of my husband, my best friend, my partner for life! Together, we are equally as proud to say that not only are we proud Vets, but we come from a long line of family members who have devoted themselves to our country as well. So as I salute my husband, I also extend an equal salute to those in our families, as well as our friends and other members of the armed services. Hoooorahhhh!
