Neither we nor our parents looked like Mad Men (at least the people on the TV show). We were in a garage band in the late 60's in Reseda California. Nero and the Flames. Pretty much sums it up--we played while LA burned. We watched the Draft lottery on TV--like some perverted game show where a US Marine selected ping pong balls from a rotating cage and held up birthday numbers to the TV camera. Where men had just landed (barely) on the moon. Social change was heavy in the air (with hash smoke).
