CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Nagbabalita’s son, David, was suspended for two days from Somerville High School in New Jersey after his performance at the Man of the Year competition on April 10. A letter sent home from the school said David was suspending for making “obscene gestures on stage” during his dance act. The video below shows David’s performance; it was filmed by one of his friends.

Nagbabalita said Friday that he had met with the superintendent, whose office is conducting an investigation about the issue.

A student was suspended due to obscene gestures. During the Man of the Year competition on April 10, David was awarded by 5 teachers for his second place finish and a $100 cash. David presented his dance interpretation with artistic quality. The said title for being second placer did not last long after school officials issued a suspension letter against the student on the following day. School officials claimed that David made obscene gestures on stage. A copy of video obtained from an audience will show the so called obscene gestures by school officials. The body of suspension letter is also available for you to comment.
