    "Italian excellence for Excellence": Rocco Bormioli Group

     
    Italian Excellence, where the family, marriage, the genius and the capacity to adapt to the times, has meant that the commitment has been rewarded by sales numbers ever growing worldwide. the company has its roots as far back as 1825 and is located in Fidenza (Italy), a flagship among Italian Excellences, known throughout the world. Rocco Bormioli was an Italian glass sector entrepreneur.He was born to an old family of glassmakers Altaresi.
    Together with the brothers, followed his father Luigi who moved Parma States, in Borgo San Donnino.
    The father decided to transfer what Carlo Felice di Savoia had taken to cope with the decline of glassmaking.
    Established a new glass factory, finding between Borgo San Donnino (now Fidenza) and Salsomaggiore easy supply of raw materials.
    The father died, the firm was managed with great vigor by his widow Petronilla, who managed not only to save her, but given new impetus.
    As soon as age allow Rocco joined her mother in the management of the factory, who had by now taken large.In 1854, with his brothers John and Charles, bought in Parma from Serving the family via dei Farnese, the former Royal factory of crockery, glass and Crystal, adopting the new name Brothers Bormioli Glassworks.
    Since then, managing the company with great passion and entrepreneurial skills, renewed production processes and expanded commercially in Europe, participating in major shows.
    The company soon became the most important in the region.
    At his death the company passed to his son Louis, and after World War I to his nephew Rocco.
    The group that belongs to the 2011 British Private Equity firm Vision Capital, is divided into 3 Business units, Tableware, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and has 9 factories, 2 decorating workshops, 6 subsidiaries and 10 shops Tableware.
    Bormioli Rocco exports its products to more than 100 countries worldwide and is one of the most important glass reality on the international scene.
    For more than ten years Bormioli Rocco invests in order to preserve the environment and thus, thanks to new technologists and and looking for new oven conduction systems, have managed to bring down carbon emissions substantially and reduce energy consumption for the production of glass.
    Bormioli Rocco uses 50% recycled glass for the production of its articles and through research and innovation have received very high levels of quality and the products are widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, food industry and in perfumery.
