Canadian Red Bull Crashed Ice Hero Bites on New Technology
The 2014 season marked Scott Croxall’s sixth year competing in ice cross downhill and his successes has not gone unnoticed.
The 23-year-old from Mississauga, ON, always strives for first place, skating ahead of his competitors and stepping once again on the podium. Currently standing in third position in the overall world standings, Scott has competed in 16 ice cross downhill races around the world since 2009.
With this, Croxall is always on the hunt for new and innovative ways to ensure he is on top of his game and remains a leader in his sport.
After all, skating downhill at nearly 70 kilometers an hour, Croxall relies on new gear and sport technology of sorts to ensure he has the right speed, strength, and balance. Croxall is sponsored by Team LTD, a popular lifestyle and apparel branding company.
And, Croxall says he just found a new technological marvel that will help him become a number one Red Bull Crashed Ice star.
It’s called the New Age Performance Mouthpiece and this new technology aligns your jaw. It’s proven that when your jaw is aligned, your overall body performs better.
Croxall is sold on the new technology. “I have heard about the powers of jaw alignment and how you can better achieve greatness in your sport of choice,” he says during an interview. “The New Age Performance Mouthpiece, worn on your lower teeth, does just that: it brings your jaw into its optimal position, and has positive benefits on the body.”
He adds, “I hear people are breaking boundaries when using this mouthpiece. It’s helping so many people on many levels and I think this new technology is out of this world.”
Rob Charlton, co-owner of the company, is thrilled to hear Croxall, a downhill ice skating hero, is using the device.
“Red Bull Crashed Ice competitions are extremely hard and to succeed one needs tremendous skill and precision,” says Charlton. “Croxall will no doubt make better gains with using our mouthpiece while competing. We are hearing from many people - bodybuilders, fitness buffs and professional athletes – that our device works and is making a world of difference.”
The science behind the device is more than impressive. You place it on the back of your lower teeth. Once it’s locked in, your jaw alignment is more structurally sound. Years of research has proven that when your jaw is properly aligned, then your body is more able to reach its ultimate performance. Most of the population has a bite issue, so this new technology is a breakthrough on many levels.
Rutgers University recently released a research paper on proper jaw alignment and concluded it has a definite positive impact on athletic performance.
Dr. Anil Makkar, the co-inventor of the device, and who has studied jaw alignment techniques extensively at the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) for Advanced Dentistry, explains that there have been a lot of scientific studies on performance mouthpieces and jaw alignment dating back to the 1950s.
“Several research and scientific papers have clearly stated that when one’s bite is in the correct position, the alignment of your body is also affected in a positive way. Our new device allows everyone to experience immediate results with balance, increased strength, and flexibility,” says Dr. Makkar, a well-known neuromuscular dentist.
