    Salute to troops

    45 Years Overdue

    Hi Robin,
I want to salute my husband, E4 Simon Barefoot, a Vietnam veteran who was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969. He was in country during the Tet offensive and was lucky enough to make it home safely. While we weren't married at the time, I want him to know how proud I am of him and his service to our country. On arriving back home in the states, he and others were booed at the airport. It was a different war in a different time. He is long overdue for a salute, don't you think?
