The Clearwater Main Library reopened in May 2004 as a new 90,000 sq-ft building resting on the original site of the 1916 Carnegie location. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern, the architecture utilizes an abundance of glass for maximum natural lighting and to capitalize on the site's greatest asset, its stunning views of the harbor and Clearwater Beach. Not only is the Main Library a destination for tourists and the community, it's also known for its vibrant social media presence and award winning programs.
