Blood Moon Progression from Austin, TX

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     joepeartree, a software engineer and board member of the Austin Planetarium, a non-profit organization dedicated to getting a planetarium built in Austin, Texas, considers himself an "amateur astronomer." He took several photos of the moon during different phases of Tuesday's eclipse and combined them into this collage. "The skies here in Austin were very clear, so it was a great opportunity to get some photographs," he said.
    - Verybecoming, CNN iReport producer

Montage of five photos taken from Austin, TX of the 4/15/14 total lunar eclipse. Excellent clear skies and good seeing, taken from my backyard using an Orion XT10g telescope and a Canon 60Da camera with a TeleVue Powermate 2x barlow. First photo @ 1:17 AM CDT, second photo @ 1:37 AM CDT, middle photo @ 2:58 AM CDT, fourth photo @ 4:05 AM CDT, fifth photo at 4:36 AM CDT. Enjoy!
