    Social Strategies That Sell

Social media is an investment for business owners says Barbara Pender founder of Your Social Sage. While FB is a great way to keep in contact with your friends and family it's also a great way to drum up business and 'wow' prospects. As a certified social media consultant learning the ins and outs of social media can be overwhelming. In my recent interview with Barbara she shared how to simplify and strategize your content in a way that connects, communicates, and resonates with those interested in your products/services.

Working with clients like Les Brown and writing a best-selling book with Mari Smith; Barbara understands that being social is more than just updating your page and forgetting about it. To put the social back in social media it's important to be raw, real, relevant, and relatable. People buy emotions not just products or services.

Using social media as a tool is important but only if you understand how. It's like picking up a drill and using it as a hammer, unless you know what to do and how to do it don't expect to get results. While different platforms serve different purposes it's important to understand your audience and their needs. Transparency is a must.

In today's busy world where everyone wants to be heard and dozens of social media platforms exist knowing how to stand how and differentiate yourself is the key to a solid foundation for growth and success. Barbara shares some incredible tips on social media and so much more here: https://soundcloud.com/melissa-krivachek/barbara-pender-interview

If getting social is your goal then using social media properly is the place to start.
