Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
Upgrading The Airline Tracking System
With the recent problems of finding the missing flight MH370 and questions of what really happens why the plane went down. The question is, Is this right time to upgrade the 60 years old system and technology of monitoring and tracking the flight? For me, this is the time to upgrade the system and technology. Voice cockpit and flight data should be transmitted back to the airline headquarters for monitoring, analysis and recording. CCTV and GPS should also be included inside the plane and should also be transmitted back the airline headquarter or the control tower. This upgrade can be done with the use satellite communication. With regards to transponder which was deliberately turned off, it should always be on during the flight and will be turn off once the plane landed and at rest. Questions are still hanging until now on MH370 flight. How about the future flights with the same problems? With the current technology, this upgrade can be done with help from telecommuication expert groups. Please comment.
