I am a Mom of four children and my oldest, Stephen R. Brown II joined the Marines last spring and now is stationed in Marine Corps Air Station, New River, NC finishing up his technical training in avionics. I would like to salute him. He was a great child and has become even a greater man. He strives for excellence and has the never give up attitude. Even though he is 6' 3" tall he is a gentle giant and so loving and a terrific big brother to his three younger siblings. Watching him graduate high school and then the Marines was so bitter sweet but the pride I have for him has me bursting at the seams. He is a fourth generation military in our family. Both his great grandfathers were in the Navy, his grandpa was in the Air Force, plus his dad was in the Navy and I was in the Air Force until I was retired for wounds incurred in combat during Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq. Despite the family military stories he has heard and seen from our family he was still a brave man to go into the Marines and for that I salute you Stephen R. Brown II you make us proud. Semper Fidelis
