This iReport is part of an assignment:
Salute to troops
faith brought us together
My husband has been in the Navy for 6 years and we met online through a dating service. After a long conversation we were both shocked to find out that we lived 20 minutes apart and both are natives of Wisconsin but it took living in California to find one another. The Navy brought him out here and a previous marriage to a military member dragged me here. It was love at first sight when me met the next day and everything fell into place. We got married here in California and are planning to go back to Wisconsin in July to celebrate with our family.
We have been together for almost 2 years and have a wonderful 7 and a half month old boy named Blake. I also have an 8 year old son, Landen, who he treats like his own. Landen is proud of his dad and wants to follow in his foot steps by joining the young Marine program here at Camp Pendleton. I am so proud of my husband CS3 Sean Halfmann for standing in a voided place in not only my heart but my son's as well. We cannot imagine a life without him. I am proud to call myself his wife and have my best friend by my side through thick and thin. I will forever be grateful to have you in my life. We love you.
