    In Memoriam

    Profoundly Beautiful Work

This man was the most eloquent, influential Spanish author during my studies in College. His literature was powerful and compelling beyond words. He wrote in metaphors like I have never experienced since. An absolutely brilliant man.
Very interesting and profoundly beautiful work. Very, very hard reading...”One Hundred Years of Solitude" if read in its entirety without consideration of the metaphors would lead people to feel they had just read a neat book. If read while understanding and comprehending the metaphors it was profound and powerful reading of great significance. Man this all takes me way back....
One interesting note was that Mr. Marquez had such a close personal relationship with Fidel Castro that he would discuss his new work at times with Fidel as I was told.
