This iReport is part of an assignment:
The world's best national parks
Redwood Forest National Park
The Redwood Forest National Park is the only NP I have ever been to so I don't have anything to compare it with. BUT, I can't see how any other NP can compare to the natural beauty of these HUGE Redwood trees. See all the pictures, you will see just how big these trees are in one of the pictures with me standing next to one. One of the Star Wars movies had some scenes shot in this forest. I have already told my family where I want my ashes scattered when I pass, I'm not sure it's allowed but oh well. What a lovely place this is. The last picture was taken looking upward to the sky, all you see is trees because they are so densely packed together. If you are ever in Northern California don't miss seeing this wonderful National Park. There is a gift shop where you can buy your own Redwood seedling, mine didn't take though, they need a lot of rain. Driving down Highway 101 puts you right in the middle of the forest, it's simply magical.
