Team iReport featured this story
This iReport is part of an assignment:
Al Gore at my Coffee Shop
Soon after, Nimmer and other coffee shop patrons went outside and watched Al Gore walk his daughter, Sarah, down the aisle. Gore’s daughter and son-in-law were married under the Wardholme Torrey Pine tree, the largest Torrey Pine in the world.
“I‘d never seen a wedding under that tree. I was also surprised a famous person was doing a rustic wedding,” said Nimmer, the video producer behind EveryoneHasAStory.org.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed down the street to Crushcakes & Café for the reception. Store manager Mayra Juarez was there when the party came in. “They had placed the cake order, but we didn’t know it was Al Gore’s daughter until they got there,” Juarez said.

I got out my iPhone and videotaped the wedding for a new project I’m doing for the public libraries called “Everyone Has a Story”.
You are welcome to post the link on your website. The video is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6NCUy2Xn_I&hd=1
Sarah Gore and Patrick Maiani, a Santa Barbara real estate agent, made a wonderful bridal couple.
For your information, I was working on Everyone Has a Story. It is a new free program to videotape stories from everyday people. The stories will range from family memories, to professional experiences, to involvement in local and world events. Everyone Has a Story (“Story”) uses readily available new technology in laptops and smartphones to record video stories and upload them instantly to online archives. Public libraries are the intended ultimate repository of the stories. You can find more information about this project at www.EveryoneHasAStory.org.
