    Robbery Suspect Arrested After Car Accident

     


    Shawnee, OK—A man who sustained serious injuries after a car accident will be transported to jail as soon as he is released from OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

     

    Sam Edward Brake allegedly robbed Broadway Liquor Store at 655 N. Broadway and then EZ Mart on Highway 18 and West Tech Road. Brake was involved in a car accident after the robbery at EZ Mart occurred.

     

    The liquor store robbery was caught on video surveillance and showed a white or Native American male, wearing a dark colored trench coat and stocking cap. He left in a dark colored Chevy passenger car.

     

    A suspect matching the same description robbed EZ Mart, wearing a dark trench coat and a stocking cap. The report states the stocking cap was found behind the store. Video surveillance at EZ Mart had not been obtained at the time of the report.

     

    Within minutes of the convenience store robbery, county law enforcement was dispatched to the scene of a car accident at Wes Tech and Brangus Rd. where Brake was the driver of a dark colored Chevy Cavalier. At that time it was observed Brake matched the description of both robberies. The report states Brake was wearing a dark colored trench coat and Sgt. Conner found a sandwich which had been stolen.

     

    Brake was taken to St. Anthony Shawnee Hospital and then to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Upon his release, the report states, he will be booked on two counts of robbery.
