BioCorRx Treatment: A Boon to Drug Addiction

Drug addiction is an epidemic that has afflicted many millions of people across the globe. In the United States, more than 24 million people above 12 years old are suffering from this malaise, according to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Association.

The same organization also reported that more than 20,000 individuals die that each year as a result of illicit drug use and in the last 20 years. The number of people suffering from addictions increased by more than 500 percent, the report said.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse estimated that drug addiction costs more than $600 billion each year in damages, health care, treatment and prevention.

Aside from its staggering price, drug addiction also entails emotional cost to the drug dependent, to the family, and to the community. Among the problems of drug addiction are violent behavior towards other members, loss of trust, stealing and other criminal activities, and accidental injury or even death.

Indeed, drug addiction is a disease that will not only negatively impact the addicted person but will affect his family, the community and society as a whole. Drug addiction has grown rapidly over the last few years and this has resulted to loss of time and decreased productivity in the workplace, which in the long run have a negative impact on the economy.

Today, drug addiction is so widespread and has afflicted even the pillars of the economy including politicians, doctors, teachers, lawyers. Indeed, no one who is safe from addiction today.

A common misconception is that addiction happens to persons who are emotionally weak or are not morally upright. The truth is, addiction is a disease. One that changes the chemistry of the brain. And just like any disease, drug addiction needs to be treated by experts. Professional treatment, detoxification, and counseling are needed to treat chronic drug abuse.

Unfortunately, data shows that only about 10 percent of substance abusers seek professional help. Majority of drug abusers choose to remain untreated.

To address this problem, BioCorRx Inc. (OTCQB: BICX - http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=BICX) has expanded its revolutionary Start Fresh Program in response to this escalating problem to society.

"Expanding our cutting-edge treatment program to help individuals addicted to painkillers is a natural next step for us and we feel confident about grasping a piece of the estimated $1 billion in annual revenue generated by this market" said Kent Emry, CEO of BioCorRx (http://www.startfreshprogram.com).

BioCorRx uses Naltrexone, the pharmaceutical component of the implant used by the Start Fresh Program. It is FDA approved for the treatment of addiction and has been used successfully for this purpose for many years all over the world. BioCorRx, however, does not manufacture Naltrexone but merely uses the product for their treatment program.

BioCorRx, Inc. is an addiction treatment and rehabilitation company of substance addiction treatment.
