    Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland does not currently have a National Park, but Giant’s Causeway was declared a World heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Nature Reserve. The causeway is a result of volcanic activity the result leaving columns. These columns are in different heights and lead from the foot of the cliffs down to and under the sea. But legend tells that the columns were remains of a causeway built by a giant. You decide.
My daughter cycled across Northern Ireland. Her stories of the people and places were so intriguing that I had to take the trip myself. A rail pass and bus pass are one in the same. It doesn’t cost much to by a pass for the day and visit around.
