    Chiang Dao Caves, Thailand

The Chiang Dao caves are located about a 1 hour drive north of Thailand's city of Chiang Mai. Rumor has it that one person carved the many Buddhist shrines located within the cave tunnels, but nobody is certain. I enjoyed the cooler air within the cave as well as the many odd rock shapes which reminded me of a Salvador Dali painting! I consider the Chiang Dao caves as a "must" place to visit while touring northern Thailand.
