Being A Parent Can Be A Tough Gig

You so often hear about all the bad things that go on in the world and it seems to drown out all the good that happens and it does still happen. I believe in the Law Of Attraction and that what you put out you get back from the universe. Have you ever heard the saying "treat others how you want to be treated", well It is so true. I would like to share with you 2 things that happened in the last couple of months and although they may only seem small they are still worth telling.
My husband and I have 2 children, one is almost 3 while the other is only a newborn. We had decided to pick our 3 year old up from childcare and go to the local Chinese Restaurant for dinner. We thought we would have a lovely family dinner out, but it wasn't to be. Anyone who is a parent will understand the challenges of going out for dinner with young ones and how it rarely goes to plan. Now our newborn, just didn't want to settle no matter what we did. Out 3 year old was tired and decided she didn't want to cooperate either. While trying to juggle the kids and finish our dinner one of the lovely waitresses came up and offered to take our 3 year old to see the fish. This was a lovely gesture and gave us a chance to finish eating our dinner. We were so moved by the service we received that my husband gave the waitress a nice tip (tipping in Australia isn't like America, it isn't something that really happens)
The second event that moved me was when I was out with my newborn. I had finished the shopping, looked across and saw a hair salon. It had been months since I'd had a haircut so decided to bite the bullet and just do it. I know there are mums out there who can relate, but literally as soon as I sat down to get my hair done my son began to cry. I had a lovely lady, a complete stranger come up and offer to rock the trolley for me. She was so lovely that she did it for the entire time I was getting my hair done. I was so grateful for her kindness and couldn't thank her enough.
Being a parent really can be a tough gig sometimes and I love that there are people out there who can relate and understand. I think it is great that we can look and focus on the positive for a change rather than only look at the negative.
