    Dreadful night in Taipei

For the fear of the government enabling one of the world most dangerous nuclear power plant, also being called out by the hunger strike of the highly respected figure in the history of democracy, Lin I-hsiung, people in Taiwan organized an anti-nuclear parade 4/27 afternoon, which successfully fully occupied the traffic arteries right in front of Taipei Main Station. Protesters conducted a 7 minute radiation drill on the street, later President Ma responded with a constitutional inappropriate announcement of temporarily halting the construction of the nuclear power plant. Unhappy with the frivolous respond and the intentional disregard of their demand of amending Referendum Act, the protesters claimed that they will continue to occupy the street until the government respond properly. However the tensions at site are rising along time, the water cannons and armed riot police gathered around people before midnight, the Taipei mayor Hau Lung-bin is determined to evacuate the street regardless the combination of the protesters. Worried that there will be a reenactment of the bloody suppression at 3/24, protesters are restless and wary, unable to rest. It seems tonight the streets of Taipei will be filled with both the fear of violence and the fear of radioactive threats.
