Youngest Imperial house head member?!
He is the son of Alexey Romamov, Grand Duke of Russia (father) , and Princess Fedoyshka Dimitrovich of Baden, and grandson of Princess Elizabeth Romanova of Russia.
His Highness was born in 1999, a great-great-grandson of Tsar Alexander .
Rani Romanovich grabbed the notice when his branch was announced since Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna has almost the same branch. But still the two royal members haven't spoken out about that point. However, the
direct male line of the Romanovs had however already ended with Peter II in 1730. After an era of dynastic crisis, the House of Holstein-Gottorp, a cadet branch of the House of Oldenburg, ascended the throne in 1762 with Peter III, a grandson of Peter I. All Tsars from the middle of the 18th century to the revolution of 1917 were descended from that branch. Though officially known as the House of Romanov, these descendants of the Romanov and Oldenburg Houses are sometimes referred to as Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov.
Last but not least, the prince and his imperial family have celebrated the news secretly after taking the flight all the way to Saint Petersburg, Russia.
