    Severe weather

    Spring snow

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     GiffDroid told me, 'This is the hardest winter we have had since 1983. We started this winter early in October with over 53 inches of snow in 48+ hours. Most of the Black Hills area residences lost electricity for three days or more. This storm is typical for a spring storm and people are a bit gunshy after the October storm, but most of us just see this as the last big storm of winter.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

Winter Storm dumps 12-15 inches of snow on Lead, South Dakota. Temperatures fell more than 40 degrees in a little more than 12 hours.
