Bad trestment on cruise
I was paired with Michael Sampson as double occupancy, but on reaching the room #6087, we discovered a single bed.
Immediately, I asked, the person assigned to attend to the cabin, if it was indeed a double bed joined together, to separate them. She informed us that it was in fact a single bed.
I approached the ladies at the receptions office deck #5 and made the same request, either to have two beds in the room or relocate us to another room with two beds.
To my great surprise, I was then told there was nothing they could do and then this remark “what was wrong with two men in the same bed”.
I again express my displeasure with their attitude and then was told that it was “your” fault referring the agency who booked the cruise in our names. I continued showing my displeasure and was then told that a small bed would be sent to the room.
I waited for two and a half hours in the room and then made my way to the reception area again. Again I was told that a bed would be sent within fifteen minutes to the room.
I returned to the room and waited a further hour. I realized after going back down to the reception office and having to stand there without being attended too, that nothing would be done.
I spent the night of 18-03-2014 sleeping/or at least trying too, on the floor of cabin 6087
This to my mind was totally..totally unacceptable.The following day, we were relocated to cabin# 9046 which had two single beds. This in itself posed other challenges, but we were prepared to work with it.
I had planned to lodge an official complaint with the cruise International hostess Olga or cruise director, but both were unavailable.
