This iReport is part of an assignment:
Shooting at Courthouse
US Congressman asked to open an investigation into the shooting death of a defendant at the new US Courthouse in Salt Lake City. The defendant, a Tongan, was shot and killed by a US Marshall last week in the first trial at this courthouse. A witness said "He just kept shooting, I was wondering when he was going to stop". I want to know if lethal force was necessary, or if just shooting the defendant in an arm or leg would have been sufficient. This may be a hate crime in itself.
