Warner's Execution Stayed After Lockett's Execution Fails
Two Oklahoma inmates were scheduled to die tonight in the state's first double execution in almost 80 years. Now, a stay has been issued for Charles Warner after the lethal injection combination for Clayton Lockett failed.
Lockett was executed with a three-drug combination in dosages that have never before been used on humans.
Officials said Lockett was taken to a local hospital where he passed away from a heart attack.
A stay has been issued in tonight's planned execution of Charles Warner.
