    Pensacola Flooding and Area Damage

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     Matt Raybourn of Pensacola, Florida, photographed washed out roads and even the back of a home that’s been washed away in the flooding. “We’ve seen flooding before, but never flooding that washes the back of a house away,” said the 38-year-old. “There are no words for what we are seeing here. And trust me, we’ve seen a lot of stuff. We didn’t have this type of flooding with Hurricane Ivan.”

“My home and property are all right, but I’ve had several of my coworkers, their homes were flooded with two to three feet of water. It’s rough, but that’s what we have insurance for,” he said. “On the Gulf Coast, it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when we will need it.”
