Erykah Badu Is Not A Politician

Erykah Badu has been getting hammered on Twitter over singing Happy Birthday to King Mswati III of Swaziland due to the fact the man has a few human right violations under his belt. Activists are of the mindset Badu in singing Happy Birthday is supporting his poor and brutal treatment of his people. I feel we are giving her and other artists as usual way too much credit.

Artists are artists first. Politics is not there bag. If this was the case we would have George Clooney as President.
