Middle East to face an extraordinary boom in Distance learning by 2016
The field of technology is frequently growing and altering with latest progress arising actively. As technology continues progress, it’s only very much believable that distance learning and E-Learning will continue to grow as well. Research speaks for itself as worldwide growth for distance learning grew exceptionally in the previous two years. Research shows that distance learning reached almost $390 million and it is predicted to grow to additional $500 by 2016. Countries which were bought into this research for growth in online learning were in the Middle Eastern region, including counties such as Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates.
Oman having the highest growth rate in the region of nearly 25%, Lebanon standing second highest by growth rate of 16% followed by Turkey at almost 13%.
Chief Researcher for this study added “The Middle East is an exciting market for distance Learning. The main channels supporting are the content digitalization across the globe in learning, the wide spread usage of tabs made accessibility and universities that are offering programs for everyone. Combination of these elements has accelerated the demand for online learning remarkably.”
This projected rush in online Learning market has made a notable impression in the Middle Eastern women. They can experience numerous problems in obtaining an education including acceptance from family, juggling between husband and children or dealing with comfort level in co-educational environment.
Online Education has proved to be the best solution to those barriers, it has also eliminated issue of gender segregation entirely since Middle Eastern women can now view presentations and complete assignments from any location with access to internet. It has benefited tremendously to women living in remote areas and completing their education traditionally in near to impossible. Women can schedule their time accordingly with overlooking family and their children or sacrificing any house hold obligations it is also beneficial for women who are doing business at home.
Online education makes Learning and guidance available to Middle Eastern women who had never expected learning prospects in years. With the face paced development and available opportunities, hurdles in learning might be just something which occurred in the past.
