WINDS in Southern California
High Winds, Heat & Fire! The past few days have had Southern California on edge, with high Santa Ana winds, higher than normal temps and Fire in Southern California. The fire crews seem to have a handle on the "Etiwanda" fire. Winds gusts up to 100mph were clocked near the fire yesterday.
The winds seem to be tapering off after 4 days of extreme high winds.
I took some video this morning while inside my home (sorry for the window screen) of the winds we have had up here in the high desert for the past few days.
Our home is at the edge of a canyon up against the Sawtooth Mountains (some shown a bit on the left in the video), so we usually get an Extra bit of wind.
We keep a light on Old Glory at night so she flys proudly 24/7. Needless to say, we have to replace her several times a year as the wind & heat are brutal on her.
