    The Art of Real Estate

"I perhaps owe having become a painter to flowers," said French impressionist Claude Monet. His series of approximately 250 oil paintings, "Water Lilies," depict Monet's Japanese-style pond covered with water lilies and shimmering reflections of clouds overhead. The water's surface fills the expansive composition so that conventional clues to a viewer's vantage point are eliminated. Monet's goal was to supply the illusion of an endless whole, of water without horizon or bank. Monet wished for the paintings to encompass the viewer and, for Sumner "Sunny" Roman, they do.

With a background in art history and architectural drafting, Sumner Roman admires Monet. She manages an array of properties in Florida and strives to add an artistic touch to all of them. Whether the properties feature an ocean view or a Monet-inspired garden. Some properties are newer than others, but all are reasonably priced and are fully equipped.

Aside from Monet, another source of inspiration for Sunny Roman is her grandmother. Her grandmother is a person of high integrity and a great influence in Sunny Roman's life. Sunny strives to have the same honest relationship with her clients. With over 300 tenets in the past 30 years, Sunny works with an eclectic group of people and enjoys doing so. She communicates well with her tenets and only asks that they pay on time and take care of their living quarters.

While she enjoys managing her various properties, Sunny Roman is an active woman of many interests. She is an Education and Outreach Coordinator at Montalvo Art Center serving 600 children at each event. She also works with the Special Olympics and Independence for the Blind. Independence for the Blind of West Florida is the only nonprofit entirely devoted to educating the blind and visually impaired in West Florida.

Sunny's desire to assist and educate today's youth and her passion for art are what motivates her in life. She hopes to continue to wake up everyday and live her life the way she does now. She enjoys admiring Monet and the work he spent the last 30 years of his life creating, giving back to the community by volunteering her services and managing and renovating her properties.
