    Give your story a title“MANAGEDIA, 2014" - The Inaugural Management Cum Media Fest Organized By iLEAD

     

    Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development (iLEAD) organized Managedia 2014, which is the inaugural Management cum Media Fest. It was held on the 28th and 29th April at the colossal iLEAD Campus in Topsia, Kolkata. Innovative events constituted the fest, which saw huge number of participation from students of diverse fields.


    Overview of the Event
    Students were supposed to don formal attires for the two days of the event. It was not compulsory for a college to take part in all the events. Each event had multiple rounds over the course of these two days. Multiple participations were not allowed. iLEAD held the right of discretion of all students participating in the events. Some of the innovative events that were held and were a huge hit among the students and faculties are as the follows:


    1. Finance
    • Two participants per college were required.
    • Participants needed to be well acquainted with the current financial conditions of the country but at the same time were not supposed to ignore the theoretical aspect.
    • Participants were required to carry their own laptop, pen drive and internet connection.

     


    2. Marketing and Advertising
    • Two participants per college were required to participate.
    • Marketing involved various mind-wrecking rounds.
    • Basic knowledge of shooting videos and editing was required for advertising.
    • Participants were required to carry their own laptop, pen drive and internet connection.

     

    3. Film- Making
    • Four participants were required.
    • The topic was disclosed few days prior to the event.
    • The participants were required to be well acquainted with the Indian film industry and in-depth knowledge of shooting movies was a crucial pre-requisite.

     

    4. Journalism
    • Minimum three – maximum four participants per college were allowed to participate.
    • Participants should have knowledge about the current affairs and their oratory skills were also tested.
    • All editing software was required installed in the participant’s laptop.

     

    5. Photography
    • Two participants per college were required to participate.
    • Topic was disclosed on the first day of the event and the photographs had to be click in the stipulated time given to them during the competition.
    • Participants were required to carry their own DSLR camera, transfer cables & pen drives.
    • Photographs needed to be submitted in full resolution on the first day of the event.

     

    6. The Best Manager
    • Maximum one participant per college was allowed.
    • The event included management related rounds only.
    • Participants were required to carry their own laptop, pen drive and internet connection.


    7. Information Technology
    • Two participants per college were required to participate.
    • The participants had to be technologically savvy.
    • Participants were required to carry their own laptop, pen drive and internet connection.
