I was traveling this past winter in South America. I started in São Paulo, Brazil and eventually ended up in Santiago, Chile. Along the way I knew I could not pass up the opportunity to see Iguazu Falls. After missing several buses from Curitiba to Foz do Iguacu, I arrived on the 23rd of December and knew I would be spending my Christmas on the Argentine side in the town of Puerto Iguazú. Once there I became good friends with two girls from Latvia. We spent 3 days together and had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner. Roast Pig. My day at the falls easily was above 100 degrees and I was able to make friends with a man from Columbia. We walked the upper falls together and then took the train to garganta del diablo. It was quite a moving experience being able to see the force of all that water only a few feet in front of you. After braving the heat all day we stopped at one of the food stands and enjoyed a nice cold beer together. After taking the train back to the middle of the park we parted ways and I slipped down to the lower falls. The park was closing so most of the staff was trying to get me to leave. Luckily I was able to sneak past a few and snap this last photo. The one uploaded.
