Nigeria and its leaders, past and present!!

Nigeria and its leaders, past and present!!

Nigeria is a complex nation with complex people and with complex problem that had been accumulated by past leaders

It will be very difficult to combat terrorism in Nigeria. The problem is not the President, though he has major blame on it. President Goodluck Jonathan is too slow in action and by so doing; the truth is not far-fetched, when one says he is gambling with the life of Nigerians. Consultation is very essential before a final action is taken, but when it takes too long to consult before the actual action, it’s termed as “weakness”.

How can terrorism be tackled in a nation where the government doesn’t even know the number of her citizens, how many foreigners enter and leave the country in a day, a week, a month and in a year? A nation with no central database of her citizens, I can authoritatively tell you that, no one knows the number of births in a day or in a week in Nigeria or how many deaths in a day or week. With lack of efficient database, believe me we will never face the true and a happy nation. The authorities can’t even tell you that, this particular car belongs to a particular person. With all these lapses, any car, any person could be used for terror activities without the authorities being able to identify the person or the car.

The point now is that we have lost hope in our leaders, even those who are to come….like, Tunubu, he ruled Lagos state for 8 years, what did he do? or Buhari? He was once the President of Nigeria, or any present serving governors, they have been ruling with nothing to differentiate them.

If we know ourselves, we can tackle terrorism at least to a bearable level.
