    CNN PRODUCER NOTE     University of Maryland student Paul Dakum says he was compelled to capture photos of a Bring Back Our Girls rally in Washington to “show to the rest of the world our concern for the safety of the abducted girls and our frustration with the Nigerian government in how they handled the situation.” Dakum, who was born and raised in Nigeria, also participated in the protest. The 25-year-old came to the U.S. to further his education.

    Citizens of African descent as well as many others that live within the D.C. Metropolitan area joined the thousands of Nigerians worldwide to express our solidarity with the families of the abducted girls girls from Chibok, and our frustration with the Federal Government of Nigeria’s lackluster response to the recent abduction of over 200 schoolgirls in in Northern Nigeria.
