    Cairngorms National Park, Scotland

There are many places to visit in Scotland. My daughter and I wanted to see and experience it all. One of our favorite places is Cairngorms National Park. In Scotland, some of their National Parks welcome wild camping, as long as you act responsibly. We had just left the Highland Games, something everyone needs to experience, headed past Balmoral Castle and up into Cairngorms National Park. Hills of Green and Purple adorn the countryside as sheep and deer roam the area. We found a lovely stream alongside the road and set up our tent. Is it cold? This was September and warm sleeping bags are advised.
Another piece of advice, if you are driving, be sure to fill up when possible. There are some areas that do not have gas stations.
If you aren’t hiking, stop at sights along the way. You may see something interesting. We happened along this large stone with writing and holes in it. There was Corgarff Castle.
Oh, there are also good places to get whiskey along the route.
