French Parliamentarians Echoed Cry of Iranian Resistance for Human Rights
On the eve of new round of nuclear talks with Iran, a cross party meeting was held in the French National Assembly to review the ongoing human rights violations under Rouhani's government in Iran. Maryam Rajavi, president -elect of the Iranian Resistance as the main speaker reiterated that international community's economic relations with Iran must be conditioned to stopping human rights violations, and an end to death penalty and torture. The meeting was held by the Parliamentary Committee for a Democratic Iran, a number of distinguished legislators also addressed the event.
Maryam Rajavi strongly denounced the trips by parliamentary and business delegations to Iran where the scale of human rights violations become every day deeper and wider. She said: ‘’the regime is taking advantage of these trips to tell Iranian people and political prisoners that despite the killings and summary executions and torture, West is on side of the clerical regime.’’ Rajavi in the French Parliament reiterated: "I ask parliamentarians and industrialists, like many others in Europe who canceled their trips to Iran and refused to give carte blanche to the crimes of the regime, to reject any such invitation.
The leader of Iran’s resistance, while referring to the brutal attack on political prisoners in Evin Prison on 17 April, condemned silence of the Western governments in this issue and called upon UN to launch an investigation on this savage. Rajavi stressed that during the upcoming talks, the west must impose the NPT Additional Protocol on the regime and also bring a complete end to enrichment and missiles programs of the regime. She mentioned that the cleric regime‘s main intention in reaching the Geneva accord was only to loosen the international sanctions, but this agreement has only delayed program to acquire nuclear bomb.
French lawmakers while condemning deteriorating human rights situation under Rohani's presidency asserted that parliamentary delegations or business trips to Iran without any pre-conditions on human rights send a wrong message to the religious fascism ruling Iran and embolden them to more killings and human rights abuses. According to evaluation of the French Parliament , Rouhani is a part of entire religious fascism ruling Iran and he has a very dark record in all areas including human rights , terrorism and interference in the region and trying to loosen the international embargos , while continuing its hidden nuclear program.
French Speakers echoed their support for 10 point plan of Ms. Rajavi for a democratic, secular and free Iran.
