A Major brush fire in Hudson, Florida threatened more than 40 home and a few business in the area had to be evacuated.

I was driving home from work around 3pm and witnessed a Major Brush fire in Hudson, FL located in the Tampa Bay Area. I pulled off down a small industrial road that did not have a name with 3 businesses in the area. I parked my car in the grass area next to a few other bystanders and captured amazing photos and video. The fire was burning in a wooded area West of me with many pine trees set ablaze. The wind was blowing East Northeast and the fire started to spread my way and toward the businesses quickly! I heard sirens in the distance and heard tractors in the fiery wooded area and trees crashing down, flames reaching as high as the tree tops. Ash began to fall from the sky luckily not burning me then I noticed after about 10 minutes It was burning 10 feet in front of me and continued to spread closer toward the businesses and out toward a Major highway labeled US 19 Southbound. I called 9-1-1 and notified them that I heard the forest fire fighters in the back area and that the fire has spread more toward the street and that a fire is now burning less than 300 feet from the buildings. Moments later I saw the tractors coming toward are direction making a fire break went toward the area I reported and then the fire trucks shifted there vehicles are way.

Everyone in the vicinity was then asked to vacate due to the fire spreading so quickly. As I left I took a picture of the huge cloud after fire officials reached it and the road was in the process of being shut down. The fire is still currently burning but is now under control and the roads are now open.
