    Hike Mountain Toubkal

How to Prepare Efficiently to Hike Mountain Toubkal

Mount Toubkal is the highest point in North Africa. It stands at 4167m. This is one of the most beautiful mountains in Morocco. Here is how to prepare efficiently for the hike.

Make sure to be on a good shape as there will be long distance of walking and hiking. Also, the altitude and the reduced oxygen can be difficult to handle.
    Dress appropriately.
Bring hiking boots and hiking socks to avoid blisters.
Bring weatherproof jackets and many layers. As you go up, it gets cold, but after hours of walk and on the way down, it warms up fast, so layers are helpful to work the weather change.
    Bring gloves and a hat.
Bring along supplies to help with the hike.
Bring an outdoor headlamp as few hours of hiking are done in the dark (very early morning).
Hiking sticks or ski sticks can be very helpful too.
You'll want a good camera to capture the beauty of the area.
Make sure you have enough to eat and drink.
Bring nutritious snacks ( like nuts; apples, fruits).
Bring water (just few bottles) as there are many merchants that sell the bottles on the way.
Bring aspirin or paracetamol to fight off the altitude sickness.
Most of all, enjoy the hike as this is one of the most beautiful sceneries you will get to see. Be prepared to meet many wonderful locals and tourists that come to enjoy the scenery.
