It's come time to downsize, and you are clueless as to where begin. Take a few boxes and start in one of the smallest rooms in your house: the kitchen. You can cull your cabinets and cupboards for unneeded supplies, ingredients and tools to make sure you're only taking the essentials. Your new downsized life should be as easy and manageable as possible, which means considering what's really needed, and what's just “stuff.” You will be surprised at how much you'll find to donate to a woman's shelter or food bank, where your donation can really go far.

Asking yourself how many times you've used an item or when was the last time you baked will help you decide what to keep and with which items to part. The first step is always the hardest, but as you can go through your kitchen, you can tackle any downsizing easily.
