    Sound off

    Greek people: selfish or not?

I am really sorry for my spelling and my use of english language. I hope you won't reap only this.

I am very happy here in Greece. May we have economic crisis but we spend our time better than other countries do. And.. come on... we have smarter people than yours.. and that is why you want our graduates... YOU have the money but it does not mind because WE have the brain! OK, you are smart too.. It is not that what I want to say.. I am not selfish..I just want to say that you exploit us. You have our ancient statues because you have the money. And it is not only about the past. We have the most talented people in maths - they get the first place in maths contests- but NASA is seeking for them because it has the money. THINK! What could you do without maths, biology and astronomy? What would you do if you had not the alphabet? I know.. you say "you did not do anything, your ancestors did" and I wanna answer that I didn't hear anything about yours. Of cοurse you had some scientists from Renaissance's times! And we hadn't.. because we were slaves of Turks for 400 years. I don't know what and how your teachers inform you about our culture. But I can imagine! It is just UNFAIR!

PS. It is tedious always to write the personal pronoun "I" with capital letter. I had to change it all the time.. And i asked myself "Who is now selfish?"
