    Great Part Time Jobs For College Students

     

    Are you in college and looking for a part-time job? Studies show that nearly 4 out of 5 students have a part time job. Jobs that are ideal for students have flexible hours and add a boost to a resume.

     

    Find A Job Related To Your Major

     

    Find a job related to your major or potential major if you are undecided; this is a great way to get some work experience and make connections in the field. Bosses can be used as future references and some may even offer advice or mentoring. It's also a great way to find out what everyday business is like in a law office or doctor's office.

     

    Retail

     

    Many college students find themselves working in retail since many of these jobs offer flexible hours and may not require tons of experience. If you are good at sales you may want to consider a job with commission incentives such as cell phone sales or even car sales. Jobs like these can really hone your interpersonal and pursuasion skills.

     

    Blogging

     

    Love writing and own a computer? Why not start a blog about a topic that you are interested in? Money can be made via advertising once you start receiving visitors. A blog or website is easy enough to set up and you can work on it anywhere; all that is required is a laptop and internet connection.

     

    The Search

     

    One of the most effective ways to find a job is via the internet. Browse websites such as Craigslist, Monster (http://www.monster.com/) and Indeed (http://www.indeed.com/) in order to narrow down possible job opportunities. Most universities also have a career center where both on and off-campus jobs may be posted.
