    Anyone who will listen

    To anyone who will listen.

When I was 26 years old I was on my 2nd suicide. While I was in my local psych ward I met another Viet Nam veteran who warned me not to get mixed up with the VA like he did because he was being shipped around the country from one private ward to another. I don't know why this was happening to him but I did not want this to happen to me so as a result I did not want much to do with the VA. It was not until about sometime in 200? after a new friend I met at my brother in laws house. He was a marine photographer in Viet Nam. His name was Dennis Kanke. It was a Sunday evening that we met for the first time. He encouraged me to get involved with the VA so I agreed to apply for benefits. He asked me to call him on Wensday and I said I would call him and let him know how the appointment went, I did not get an appointment with the VA service officer until Friday so I decided that I would call him then. That Wensday night he poured gasoline on himself and lit himself up. That night I met up with his wife and children to ask them to let him go because 85% of his body was burned up and it was time for him to leave this world. They agreed and let him go. This new experience with the VA lately really has me concerned that the powers that be in the VA are thoroughly corrupt still and I am disgusted. I could go on and on so I will. I myself suffer from PTSD, ishemic heart desiese of the kind associated with herbicide exposure {Agent Orange}. I also had 2 children that died of the same heart desiese one boy Jonah Clarke Duvall April 5, 1979 to June 26, 1980 the other Daniel Wilford Duvall April 18, 1977 to August 5, 1977. The VA will not acknowledge that they may have died as a result of my chromosomal breakdown because I was exposed to the herbicide. The chemical company’s that were involved in the manufacture of this leathel stuff were slapped on the hand and told that they shouldn’t have made the stuff with so much dioxin in it. Yes I am disgusted with the way my country has treated us Veterans and now this further insult.
