    Immaculate’13 was conducted by IEEE NMIMS-SHR Chapter.IEEE NMIMS SHR chapter is the biggest, oldest, most successful and most active student organization of this campus.Immaculate’13 is among the successful workshopsthatare conducted by IEEE.It is conducted to develop paper presentation skills of individual’s. Immaculate as the word means ‘neat and clean’ the event was conducted in the same manner and was divided into two sessions which received a warm participation from the students of all cadre.
    As it is known that writing andpresenting a paper can be a difficult task especially if rules and procedures for writing a paper is not known therefore the purpose of this workshop was to have a refreshed memory on what constitutes a technical paper so that it is accepted and referenced by others.

    11th September, 2013:
    About 70 students attended thissession which was started at5:15 P.M.Mr.Ashutosh Ajgaonkarcommenced the session by introducing the honorable faculties, Prof. Payal Dande and Prof. Shashikant Patil (HODEXTC) thereafter session was initiated by felicitation of faculties by presenting them bouquets. This was followed by lightning of lamp and Saraswati vandana by Prof. Shashikant Patil, Prof. Payal Dande and Ms. Navani Siroya. Further Ms. Era Bhatt acquainted the achievements of Prof Payal Dandeto the students after which Mr. Ashutosh Ajgaonkar invited Prof. Payal Dande to proceed with her presentationnamed “HIGH IMPACT PAPER PRESENTATION” which included the basics of building an effective presentation.She delivered various significant tactics like the purpose of your presentation, analyzing the audience, never to deviate from the topic, keeping the content simple and short, refraining from the use of obscure words and jargons, and therefore making a presentation illustrative and interesting. Prof Payal Dande told students how to rectify the common glitches occurring in a presentation through a sample slide. This was followed by time management techniques for each slide to be delivered during presentation after which she concluded her presentation with the conclusion analysis and references to be included at the end of the presentation. She also mentioned the success mantra which says ‘correct preparation + clear purpose+practice which was applauded by all the students. Thus the first session was completed successfully at 6:30 p.m. which was the allotted time with the felicitation of Prof. Payal Dande for her full effort and a brilliant session.

    12th September, 2013
    About 50 students participated in the second session which was started at 5:10 p.m.Mr. Dhruv Madaan and Ms. Parkhi Tyagi commenced the session by introducing the guest of honor for the session Prof. Vaishali Patil (Director I.M.R.D) to the students after which Mr. Dhruv Madaan requested Prof Vaishali Patil to begin with her presentation.
    Prof. Vaishali Patil began her presentation with the feedback of students about the previous session after which she told the students about the three segments of her presentation. The first segment included the do’s and don’ts before, after and during the presentation. After these effective and useful tips second segment included a very effective group activity in which students were divided in nine groups. Students were given chart papers and sketch pens and they have to choose any topic and discuss about the structure of the presentation on that topic. Various topics like earthquakes, global warming, social networking etc were successfully presented by students and reviewed by Prof. Vaishali Patil.The third and the last segment included self evaluation form consisting of 20 questions which helped in evaluation of presentation skills of the individual and determined the areas in which one need to improve.
    In the end Prof. Shashikant Patil felicitated Prof. Vaishali Patil after which Prof. Shashikant Patil was felicitated by Mr. Sanchit Luthra. Prof. Shashikant Patil handed over a letter of appreciation to Prof. Vaishali Patil for her brilliant effort which was followed by sincere vote of thanks by Prof. Shashikant Patil which remarked the end of Immaculate’13 at sharp 7:30 p.m.
