'One erupted right behind our campus'

CNN PRODUCER NOTE     CriseldaY told me, 'When I took the photos, the weather was beautiful, though hot, and we all concerned about the fires, but we did not expect one to break out on a hill right above one of our parking lots.'
    - hhanks, CNN iReport producer

We currently have five fires burning in San Diego County: the Bernardo Fire (inland north county), Poinsettia/Carlsbad Fire (north county coastal San Diego), and the Camp Pendelton (north of Carlsbad) and Deer Springs Fires (iinland north county). A fire in Campo (south San Diego) was put out yesterday. The attached photos were taken from the California State University San Marcos campus, were we can see three of the four fires.

The fifth fire was just reported around 2:20 p.m., along Bear Valley Parkway in Escondido.

The first photo shows the Poinsettia/Carlsbad and the Camp Pendleton fires. The second photo shows the Camp Pendleton and Deer Springs fires.
